Step back to late in the summer of 1969 in western Pennsylvania on the Penn Central (former Pennsylvania Railroad) Erie & Pittsburgh Branch, which once ran between New Castle and Erie.
The main portion of the current layout centers around New Castle in a 15’ x 25’ basement space. The borough of Pulaski, a helix, and a 10-track staging yard are in an adjacent 20’ x 35’ room. Scenery on the main portion of the layout is 80% complete. The layout operates with a Digitrax DCC system that supports simplex, duplex, and wi-fi throttles.
